The Victorian Association
About Us
The Victorian Association is comprised of several of the top UK Victorian re-enactment societies, who have been working together for nearly twenty years.
In our mutual opinion, bigger is better - so by forming an association we enable an easier starting point to bring the Victorian soldier to the public in greater numbers. Our societies work together at various events around the country throughout the year.
Well established groups the Diehard Company, the Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment Re-enactment Society and the Rifle Brigade reenactment group have been working together for nearly twenty years, are comprised of experienced members and can show how different regiments worked alongside each other.
Of course, we couldn't go far without acknowledging possibly the most famous of all Victorian regiments. A Company, 24th Foot is the signature group of the Victorian Association, being made up of individuals from all member groups. By combining our efforts we can put out a composite right half company of around 50 men with correct rank structure, and have participated in displays and commemorative events at places such as iSandlwana and Rorke's Drift.
Take a look at our regiments pages to see photos of all our member groups, and of A Company, 24th Foot. There's lots to see on our videos page, and we also have the excellent iSandlwana video series from Britishmuzzleloaders.
